Which Version am I getting?

  • This offer contains software for the Office 2016 suite of applications which requires Windows 7 or above. If you have older versions of Windows, you can download and install Office 2013 as noted on the install screen above.

How long will I have access to the suite?

  • When you download the software it will be fully functional until 1 year after you graduate or withdraw from BTC. At this time, you'll be given the option to convert your account into a paid subscription through Microsoft. If you decline, functionality of the applications will be reduced to viewing capability only. You will no longer be able to create or edit documents.

How many computers may I install it on?

  • 5 PCs or Macs as well as any apps on mobile devices you own.

What if I have trouble with the download and install?

  • Microsoft provides many online tutorials. BTC Library staff can help you anytime the Library is open. Peer student technology support is available in the BTC Library at specific times during the week, contact the Library for more information.

What if I'm not enrolled in summer courses?

  • As long as you take courses within a year of each other at BTC, your access will be retained.

I already have Office 2016 installed on my computer, but my subscription has expired. Do I need to uninstall Office before reinstalling the free version?

  • If you have Office 2016 installed on your device, all you need to do is sign in using your BTC email address and password. Contact the BTC Library if you need help.
