Veterinary Parasitology

Objectives

  1. Develop skills in research of veterinary medicine topics
  2. Demonstrate proper referencing of resources without plagiarism
  3. Write a review article for veterinary technicians and vet tech students
  4. Describe the assigned parasite, its life cycle, disease potential in animals and other aspects important to veterinary medicine (economic significance, zoonotic potential or prevention strategies) (Do not discuss therapy in detail).
  5. Write an abstract summarizing the article
  6. Include the word count (the computer will give this to you bottom left corner tool bar)

Guidelines

  1.  Text of paper 500-800 words long with in-text citations
  2. Write an abstract (50 words or less)
  3.  Write a brief outline
  4.  Use a minimum of three authoritative references less than 8 years old
  5. Reference list should be in APA format
  6. Submitted paper must be typed (computered?)
  7. Images may be included, but they must be referenced
  8.  All genus/species names should be in italics or underlined
  9. Have fun (parasites are cool)!
