These databases work a lot like the article databases.  You can type a subject into the search box and get results.

MERCK MANUAL PROFESSIONAL VERSION

  • Type your disease or topic into the search box.
  • Choose "Medical Topic" for medical articles written by experts.
  • Select "Refine Results" to choose specific sub-topics.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

  • Be sure to limit the Health and Wellness results to "REFERENCE"  so that your results will be found in medical reference books such as encyclopedias.  Most entries are limited to FULL TEXT, giving you access to the entire article or chapter.
  • Choose "NEWEST" in the drop down "sort by" box, so that the most current references come first in your list of results.
  • Other filters are available on the right side of the screen in blue boxes.
